4.Registration instructions
(1) Registration time:
Registration is open on May 20th at 10:00, and the early bird price will be restored to its original price after May 30th. After successful registration, the participation quota cannot be transferred without authorization;

*Group changes can only be applied for if there are available spots in that group.
(4)Registration qualifications for each group
*Runners who completed the 2023 UTSS 65K group within 17 hours can directly reach the 2024 100K group;In the 2023 UTSS 30K group, runners who completed the race in 8.5 hours can directly reach the 2024 70K group .
(5)Registration Notice
Applicants must be physically healthy and have no of the following illnesses in order to participate:
a) Congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease;
b) Hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases;
c) Myocarditis and other heart diseases;
d) Coronary artery disease patients and severe arrhythmia;
e) Diabetes with high or low blood sugar;
f) Have caught a cold, pneumonia, or been in close contact within two weeks before the competition day;
g) Drinking a lot of alcohol or not getting enough sleep the night before the competition;
h) Pregnant women;
i) Patients with other diseases that are not suitable for exercise.
Note: In the event, personal injury and property damage caused by personal health or other personal reasons shall be borne by the participants themselves.
5.Onsite Registration & Item Collection
(1)Registration time and location
On September 14-15, 2024, from 09:00 to 22:00,participants are required to complete the registration process and collect their items at the designated location in Hongping Town, Shennongjia Forest District (specific location to be announced prior to the race).
(2)Required Items for onsite registration
a.Original identification documents used for registration, such as personal ID card, military officer certificate, or passport (proxy collection is not accepted);
b.A copy of the medical examination certificate from a hospital at or above the county level (including county-level) or other legitimate medical examination institution within one year.
c.Mandatoryequipment: During check-in, mandatory equipment will be inspected (refer to the mandatory equipment checklist). If any items are missing, they must be completed before item collection can take place.
(3)Important Notes
a.Participants are required to sign a "Safety Responsibility Notice" online or on-site item collection;
b.On site inspection of the items in the competition package to ensure they are complete, and tracking of the effectiveness of timing equipment;
c.The competition package for this competition does not accept any form of proxy collection;
d.The highest altitude of this race track is about 2380 meters, which is a high-intensity long-distance mountain off-road running sport at sub high altitudes. It has certain risks and requires high physical fitness from the participants.
(4)Participants are required to provide a copy of their medical examination certificate from a tertiary hospital or a reputable professional medical institution within one year (including but not limited to: static heart rate, electrocardiogram, blood pressure) when registering. If the medical examination certificate shows abnormal conditions that are not suitable for the sport, or if there are the following diseases and symptoms, they will be forced to withdraw from the competition, and the registration fee will not be refunded:

(5)Participants are required to pay a deposit of RMB 500 for the positioning equipment online in advance before receiving the competition package. After the competition, the positioning equipment will be returned, and the organizing committee will refund the deposit. If the equipment is lost or damaged, the deposit will not be refunded. When receiving equipment, attention should be paid to checking its effectiveness. If the equipment is not inspected, the organizing committee will assume that it is normal.

7.Competition rules
This competition rule is formulated based on the principle of ensuring safe, orderly, and standardized competition, with the goal of reflecting fairness, impartiality, and openness in the competition. This rule applies to all competition events (groups) of the 2024 Ultra Trail Shennongjia Salt Road Challenge; The organizing committee has the right to formulate, modify, and enforce the rules of this competition, and all participants must fully understand and comply with these rules:
(1)Participants are required to register 45 minutes before the start of the competition and enter the departure area. The inspection items include: bib, timing chip, positioning equipment inspection, etc;
(2)The athlete's bib must be worn in a prominent position in front of the body, clearly visible at any time during the competition;
(3)When the contestant arrives at the station, they should actively cooperate with the timed referee to clock in. If a contestant arrives at or exits the station after the closing time has passed, it will be considered closed and the competition will not be allowed to continue.
(4) If a contestant loses their timing equipment during the competition, they should proactively inform the timing referee at the next station when they arrive. Only after manually recording can they continue the competition;
(5)Runners at the station should actively cooperate with the referee's mandatory equipment inspection. Those who refuse to inspect or have missing mandatory equipment will be forced to withdraw from the competition;
(6) If a contestant withdraws from the competition due to physical exhaustion, illness, or injury, they must go to the nearest station to report to the referee for withdrawal. After withdrawing from the race, one should follow the arrangements of the staff to evacuate the track and take a shuttle bus to the designated location to return to the finish line;
(7)If a participant withdraws from the competition on the way without completing the withdrawal procedures, they should proactively notify the organizing committee in a timely manner after withdrawal. The notification method can be reported directly to the main venue or the contact number posted on the organizing committee's announcement phone number. If not notified, the organizing committee has the right not to accept the contestant's future registration for this competition;
(8)When a contestant contacts the staff and requests assistance, it is deemed that the decision-making power for their participation has been transferred to the organizing committee, and therefore agrees to accept any decision made by the organizing committee staff on behalf of the contestant;
(9)All staff and volunteers related to the competition have the right to observe and judge the physical condition of the contestant. If it is determined that the contestant is not fit to continue the competition, the contestant will be forced to withdraw from the competition, assist in their evacuation in any way, and guide further first aid and treatment;
(10)During the competition, contestants should follow the principle of fair competition, complete the competition independently, do not use vehicles or other means of transportation, follow the designated route of the competition, and do not take shortcuts. If discovered by the competition staff or reported by other contestants after verification, violators will have their competition results cancelled;
(11)Unauthorized transfer of participation qualifications or any other form of substitute running is strictly prohibited. All medical rescue, insurance claims, and other related legal liabilities arising from this shall be borne by both parties who transfer participation qualifications without authorization. Violators will have their competition results cancelled, and the organizing committee will not accept their registration for this competition within three years;
8、 Closing and withdrawing from the competition
(1) The closing station and closing time are determined based on the characteristics and difficulty of each group. Participants must complete the check-in before the closing time of each closing station, and the dressing station must complete the check-in and leave before the closing time;
(2) Those who fail to leave the station within the specified time limit shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the race. The withdrawing participants shall enter the waiting area according to the requirements of the staff, wait for the shelter shuttle, and shall not enter the race track again;
(3) The closing time may be temporarily adjusted due to weather, delayed departure, and other factors.Participants must obey the management of the station staff;
(4) Withdrawal from the competition
All CP points provide shuttle services for withdrawal from the competition;
Note: The shuttle vehicles for accommodations are connected in sequence according to their travel trajectory, taking into account factors such as the number of accommodations and road conditions. The waiting time at each closed door station varies from 1 to 2 hours.
9、 Timing and grades
(1)Timing chip
This competition uses chip timing, which is a terminal device for recording personal results. Please make sure to wear a number cloth containing the timing chip in a prominent and visible position in front of your body. Participants will be responsible for any missing results caused by blocking the timing chip.
(2)Timing checkpoint
In addition to the time points announced by the organizing committee, temporary time points may also be set up on the track, and the results of the temporary time points are also considered as the basis for the organizing committee's accounting judgment.
(3)Check in rules
This competition will be executed by clocking in at the exit. Participants are required to complete the timed clock in within the closing time of the competition period. Failure to do so will result in mandatory withdrawal from the competition.
(4)Missing grades
If the score is missing due to reasons other than personal reasons (such as not wearing or covering the number cloth), the contestant may apply for a replacement and provide valid evidence of the missing score. After being recognized by the timing referee, the organizing committee will make up for the missing score. The time for providing evidence is within 24 hours after the total closing time of the competition, and applications for missing scores will no longer be accepted thereafter.
(5). The timing ranking rules for each group are as follows:
a.The top three male and female athletes in the athlete ranking award will be ranked and rewarded based on their shooting time performance;
b.All other ranked Participants use net timing as their official ranking result;
c.Participants must depart within 15 minutes after the designated departure time. Participants who fail to pass the starting point within 15 minutes shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the competition.
(6)Ranking reward rules under special circumstances
a. If an emergency track is used during the competition, players who complete the competition through the emergency track must be ranked and rewarded after those who complete the competition on the original track;
b. If the competition is temporarily terminated during the competition, players who have not completed the competition will not be awarded a ranking prize.
(7) Reward settings
*The bonus amount is the pre tax amount, and 20% income tax will be deducted from the actual bonus payment;
*Except for the top three male and female winners in each group, the top six male and female winners will be set for each group, and specific rewards will be announced later.
10.Competition Transportation Strategy
Aircraft: Shennongjia Airport (approximately 38km from the starting point, about 50 minutes by car)
Yichang Three Gorges Airport (about 240km from the starting point, about 3 hours and 50 minutes by car)
Train: Shennongjia Station (approximately 81km from the starting point, with a travel time of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes)
Yichang East Station (approximately 218km from the starting point, with a travel time of approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes)
Self driving/Taxi: Navigation starting point location (Gallery Valley Scenic Area, Hongping Town, Shennongjia)
Event shuttle:
The organizing committee will arrange shuttle transportation at Shennongjia Airport/Shennongjia Station/Yichang East Station 2 days before and 1 day after the competition. Advance online booking is required for purchase, and the specific time and schedule will be announced and launched in August.
